About
Student of Master Ustad Ali Akbar Khan, Maestro Aloke Dasgupta moved from Calcutta to California to pursue a Masters in Ethnomusicology at San Diego State University. He has toured with India's greatest violinist, Pandeet V.G. Jog, and performed at sold-out concerts in Germany, Japan, the UK, India, and at home at the Lincoln Center, Hollywood Bowl, and many others.

What to Expect
A variety of styles can be explored. The most popular being Classical Indian Music which can be of Aloke Dasgupta (sitar), tabla, tamboura, Indian vocals, violin, flute, shehnai, dilruba, and a variety of different instruments. Fusion music with talented musicians can have more of a New Age vibe, Jazz with Clarinet, Saxophone, and other instruments, or popular music such as Beatles, Rolling Stones, are also available for part of the time.
The Classical Indian Ensemble or Solo is great for background music as well during weddings, launch parties, private celebrations, and corporate events. Aloke Dasgupta has most recently performed recently for Rainn Wilson's (star of TV show "The Office") Launch Party for his new book "Soul Pancake" at William Morris Endeavor, Beverly Hills.
