I am a Ben Franklin impersonator and reinactor. I conduct ceremonies, speak and entertain at both private and public events. I can emcee corporate events as well as tell stories. Am well versed in the Colonial period, have talked at schools. Also available is Davy Crockett, "King of the Wild Frontier"who can accompany me as my bodyguard. I created the State Liberty Tree for the State of Idaho as well as Patriots Day and have conducted many ceremonies for Constitution Day as well as Patriots Day and appearances on local television.

Following the tradition of Benjamin Franklin of Philadelphia, I present insight with wit and humor, the legacy the Founding Fathers left their posterity. I speak as an inventor. diplomat, philosopher, utilitarian, statesman and the signer of the Declaration of Independence, Treaty of Paris and the US Constittuion. I bring to life the persona and spirit of one of America's most famous Founding Fathers. Yes, Benjamin Franklin had re-invented himself and is here for your special event, the same book but with a different cover to entertain and educate all ages, from corporate events to birthday parties. If requested, Davy Crockett, the "King of the Wild Frontier" and Ben Franklin's body guard will also appear.
My experience has been with ceremonies such as Constitution Day, Patriots Day and patriotic events. Also I have done reinactments as I have a vast knowledge of Franklin and the colonial period. I have done educational programs at schools. Have been interviewed on television a number of times. Appeared for special events including the Museum Comes To Life. Had one of my photos spotlighted on Godd Morning America. Have met with government officials and received a Good Citizenship medal from the Sons of the American Revolution for my civic events.
When I go on stage, I combine the wit and humor of Benjamin Franklin in his different personalities and stages of his life. I consider myself a re-invented Franklin as I probe through the different eras of time since the colonial period. As I say "The same book but a different cover".
The women are charmed by the intellectual understanding given by Ben as he connects with the female gender. Young people are amazed as Ben explains his reasoning for the turkey as America's National Symbol and his disdain for the bald eagle.
Franklin has been coined by historians as the "First American". He was called the "Father of the Country" before George Washington became President. The Founding Fathers referred to him as the Great Sage. His accomplishments in history have rivaled those of Divinci and Newton. Ben speaks of the "Great Virtues" as layed out by great Philosophers of the past and the teachings of Jesus.
A presentation for a large audience, is for Franklin to be carried to the stage by 4 men dressed as prisoners, as he was last during the days of the Constitutional Convention.
Davy Crockett is also available for playing Ben's bodyguard. Crockett's father fought in the Revolutionary War and Davy always carried a copy of Ben's Autobiography with him wherever he travelled. Davy does not speak much, he just stands near Ben and Ben alludes to him now and then as a historical reference or just for humor.
My costumes of Ben are self-created including 4 different coats. The choices are either the red, white and blue coat or 3 green coats including one which is ceremonial in design.
If there is a large corporate event, I would encourage a special entrance for Franklin possibly using others to carry him on stage as he was presented at the Constitutional Convention
A chair or possibly a rocking chair and maybe a small wooden desk
Hal Holbrook does a fantastic act of Mark Twain, I have developed his style and I have read many books and seen all public works of Franklin to obtain the public view of him as well as my deeper research into his life and his love for America as well as his patriotism.
