Published non-fiction historical author (18th century) with 20 years experience as a historical interpreter, docent, and guide in both volunteer and professional roles. Professional employment includes work at Monticello and other notable historic sites of the 18th century.
Specialist in Thomas Jefferson's life and times with a broad knowledge on 18th century common life, particularly in the mid-atlantic and southern colonies. That education has been formed from 30 years of study, covering everything from Sir Humphrey Gilbert championing establishment of English colonies in the 1560s to the end of Jefferson's presidency in 1809 and beyond.
