I provide first person historical interpretation of early American historical figures from the 17-20th centuries. Common portrayals are Thomas Jefferson, James Monroe, Patrick Henry, John Paul Jones, etc. I perform for tour groups, public and private events, historical sites or venues, reenactments, film or TV, and national or state parks. I am based in central VA, but have worked throughout the country. I'm also a professional historian so all my content is thoroughly researched and educational!

September 8, 2026Mr. Robbins provided and outstanding experience for my mock Continental Congress. He worked with me to meet the exact need we wished to have with our students. He was very understanding and excited to accommodate. His knowledge of the founding fathers was insanely impressive. He helped provide context, humor, and flow of our congressional reenactment. Not expected, but he managed our session just as Hancock would have done so, directing the flow of student involvement, he added his own historical insights, and very much helped to make the event feel like it happened in the 1700s. The event couldn't have gone better, and he is largely the cause of its success.

I'm an historical interpreter, speaker, consultant and model for historical artists. As a professional historian, I consume primary sources to create the most authentic material culture that is used in my programs, for props, out museums. I also provide services for the film industry by lending my historical expertise to period movies, shows, or historical documentaries. Throughout the country I portray historical figures at National parks, State Parks, public and private historical sites, private and public events, reenactments, and even weddings!
