The Subtexts harken back to the glory days of 80's college rock and post-punk. Drawing from the Replacements, Suprechunk, the Pixies and Dinosaur, Jr., their upbeat, energetic sound never stays too far from a good hook, but remains grounded in their shared love of '77 punk. The band has played shows all over Manhattan, Brooklyn and Queens. We're secular humanist allies.
