Absolutely fantastic show. The Flying Ivories drove to upstate NY to perform at Ft. Drum, NY for our military ball and were a rockin' good time. Funny, lively, and quick on the fly, they had the crowd singing along, stomping their feet, and clapping their hands all night. They accommodated several very specific requests and were worth every penny. I would recommend them for any event that you need live entertainment. Bravo!

The Flying Ivories played in our home for my 40th birthday celebration. They were amazing! A number of our friends had never seen dueling pianos--they left saying it was "the best party ever!". Brad was very responsive in our planning--giving us guidance as to the flow/plan that would make for a successful evening. They kept the party going late into the night with the perfect blend of musical genres based on requests from us and our guests. We cannot rate them highly enough--it was a night to remember!

The Flying Ivories, James and Matthew, entertained tonight at the clubhouse in our "over 55" community. They were amazing! Both men are warm, funny, and supremely talented! They had the audience singing along and u dancing to songs from a wide variety of artists, all by request. We all couldn't stop talking about what a great evening it was. Do not pass up the opportunity to hire these wonderful men!!

My husband and I discovered the Flying Ivories during the pandemic and watched their live stream on Facebook every Friday. Once we began to plan for our wedding it was a no brainer that we wanted Flying Ivories to be part of our special day, so thankful they do weddings! The four musicians we had were so talented and our guests loved seeing something other than a traditional wedding band or DJ, the dance floor was full the entire evening which was what I hoped for given their engaging entertainment,
James was extremely communicative and organized through out the booking and planning process. He even would reach out and let us know when there were shows close to us if we were available!

What to expect
A Dueling Piano show is an all-request, rock and roll sing-along that blends music, comedy, and improvisation to create a totally interactive experience for any type of event, except maybe a bris or a funeral. (Though we're open to anything.)
No two shows are ever the same because the crowd decides the set list. Write down your song on a request slip, put it on the piano, and we'll play it. Whether you're celebrating a wedding, birthday, holiday party, office event, company retreat, retirement, or anniversary, we tailor the show to your particular needs and always hand-pick our players to ensure a perfect musical match for the occasion.
About
Here's how it works: First, we bring our show right to your door, complete with lighting, sound and two custom-built black pianos. Then we belt out an all-request music and comedy show while you and your guests sing along, clap along and laugh along.
Here's how it started: In the fall of 2001, Brad Alexander launched the first ever Dueling Piano show in New York City. Every Friday and Saturday night in the basement of O'Flaherty's Ale House on Manhattan's Restaurant Row, Brad and a small group of piano players faced off on two electric pianos for a four-hour singalong with an audience that grew from 10 to far beyond legal capacity.
From there the show moved through several incarnations and locales over the course of a decade and eventually landed back in NYC where Brad and fellow performer James Barr formed THE FLYING IVORIES. Now with offices in Austin, Boston, Fort Lauderdale, Long Island, Kansas City, and Philadelphia, The Flying Ivories perform in-person and virtual dueling piano shows year-round for weddings, conferences, company outings, holiday parties, birthdays, anniversaries, fundraisers, bars, restaurants, hotels and more.
Additional booking notes

Setup requirements
Dedicated 110 volt electrical supply in or near performance area
Our pianos have detachable legs and fit through any standard doorway. The dimensions of the piano shells sans legs are 30”W x 60”L X 10”H. They look like baby grands but are actually smaller.
Our stage area with two pianos and drums is roughly 8 x 12’ for a snug fit, and 10 x 14’ more comfortably. For our Gold and Platinum packages with 4-5 players, 10 x 16'.
