O. J. Toks is happily married to the love of his life, Dana. He is the founder and president of O. J. Toks Ministries, a 501(c) nonprofit organization, which presents and hosts While You Are Single, an online ministry for single adults. He is also the author of Rejected for a Purpose, an unprecedented and life-changing book, which has received rave reviews. He also wrote While You Are Single: A Guide to Finding and Keeping the Right Mate for Your Life.

Toks was born in Inglewood, California. 6 weeks after his birth, his Nigerian parents went back to Nigeria with him, and he was raised there for 19 years. He came back to the States in 1994, and resided in Richmond, Virginia where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Virginia Commonwealth University in 1999. In 2003 he was ordained as a minister at Faith Alive International Ministries also in Richmond, Virginia. In 2006 he moved to Houston, Texas, where he lives with his wife. In 2013 he graduated with a Master of Arts in Practical Theology from Oral Roberts University. Toks has written for Essence magazine and has been a guest on 89.3 KSBJ and CBN's Turning Point International as well as other TV programs.

His mission is to inform and inspire people to find and fulfill God's purpose in every aspect of their lives.
