November 12, 2025Blown Away!
I really cannot express how amazing Jody was for our event. He was professional yet funny. He stayed on track and had completely relevant material for our teachers. It was like motivational speaker meets comedian meets educator meets writer meets veteran.....all bundled up into a magnificent speaker for our conference. I would 100% recommend you book him for your next event. YOU WILL NOT REGRET IT!

June 20, 2025Worth the money
Jody was chosen by one of our Executives and man did he deliver. He entertained a bunch of engineers from all over the country and somehow found a way to connect to all of them. He was witty, sarcastic and knowledgeable about parts of their work lives. He is a Veteran and justifiably proud and our group was very appreciative of his service. His self-deprecating humor regarding his stuttering is great and I did not even notice it at first. I paid him, via GigSalad, we checked in once prior to the event and then the week of. Very no nonsense booking.

June 23, 2026Exceptional performance
I was tasked with choosing a guest speaker and decided to take a chance on a comedian. I was very impressed with Jody’s ability to be funny, engaging, and inspiring while delivering his message of meeting challenges and overcoming adversity. Everyone at the event enjoyed Jody’s performance. Jody communicated well and was easy to work with. The performance was worth the fee. Highly recommended.

June 3, 2026Outstanding and Genuinely Engaging
It is a pleasure to offer a glowing review of comedian and speaker Jody Fuller following his appearance at the RUMC Men's Dinner. From start to finish, Jody delivered an evening that exceeded every expectation.
His session was nothing short of captivating. His humor came across with genuine heart, and every man in the room was engaged from his very first story to his last punchline. The laughter was frequent, loud, and entirely earned.
What truly set the evening apart, however, was what happened after the dinner concluded. Rather than simply collecting his things and heading out, Jody stayed and made himself fully available to every attendee. He took time to shake hands, share a laugh one-on-one, and make each person feel like they'd made a genuine connection. His warmth and approachability were as impressive as his performance on stage.
We would wholeheartedly recommend Jody Fuller to any organization looking for a speaker and entertainer who will bring genuine fun, inspiration, and warmth to their event. He was an outstanding guest, and our attendees are still talking about the evening.

About
Comedian • Speaker • Veteran
Jody Fuller is a TEDx speaker, certified John Maxwell Leadership Speaker, clean comedian, writer, father, and former U.S. Army Major with three tours of duty in Iraq. A lifelong stutterer who turned a perceived flaw into one of his greatest strengths, Jody blends authenticity, resilience, and Southern charm into programs that are as meaningful as they are memorable.
Alabama Magazine named him one of its “Top 40 Over 40.” It’s a Southern Thing recognized him as one of “15 Southern stand-up comedians that will make you laugh ’til you cry,” and GI Jobs Magazine featured him among “15 Veterans Taking the Comedy World by Storm.” He has his own Dry Bar Comedy special and has been published 12 times in the nationally recognized Chicken Soup for the Soul series.
Born and raised in Opelika, Alabama, Jody grew up with limited means and a stutter—two challenges that shaped his perspective but never defined his potential. After serving as an Army medic, earning his degree in Business Administration, and reentering the Army following 9/11 through Officer Candidate School, he went on to serve as a platoon leader in Iraq before eventually rising to the rank of Major.
Today, Jody travels nationwide delivering clean stand-up comedy and high-impact keynotes for corporate events, chambers of commerce, educator institutes, veterans organizations, healthcare teams, conferences, civic clubs, churches, and fundraisers. He has performed or spoken in 45 states and entertained troops in 15 countries. His material is relatable, heartfelt, and rooted in real-life leadership experience.
Whether he’s sharing stories from growing up with a stutter, leading soldiers overseas, raising a daughter, or navigating everyday challenges, Jody’s message centers on one theme: Adapt & Overcome. His audiences leave laughing, encouraged, and equipped with practical perspective they can apply immediately.
Jody’s versatility sets him apart. He can deliver:
• Clean stand-up comedy for corporate events, banquets, and fundraisers
• Inspirational keynotes on leadership, resilience, and communication
• Humor-based professional development for educators and nonprofit teams
• Faith-friendly comedy or inspirational messages for churches
• Veterans and military programs grounded in lived experience
Every event is tailored. Every audience is valued. Every performance blends humor with meaning.
If you’re looking for a speaker who brings genuine laughter, powerful storytelling, and a message your audience will remember long after the event ends, Jody Fuller delivers.
Additional booking notes
⭐ Technical Requirements & Performance Needs
To ensure the best possible experience for your audience, I’ve found that a few simple setup items make a tremendous difference. These are standard for both comedy and speaking engagements and help create an atmosphere where everyone can truly enjoy and benefit from the program.
General Requirements
Performance should begin before the meal is served or after the meal is finished.
Whether it’s comedy or speaking, your audience will get a far better experience when they’re not actively eating. This allows for full attention, clear laughter, and meaningful engagement.
A proper introduction
I will provide a short bio or introduction for the emcee. A thoughtful intro sets the tone and helps the audience connect right away.
A stool and a bottle of water
Simple but appreciated for both speaking and comedy sets.
⭐ Speaking Engagement Requirements
To provide the best clarity and flow during keynotes or breakout sessions:
Raised performance area preferred
A small stage or platform helps visibility, especially for larger rooms.
Podium and sound system with a microphone (wireless preferred)
I move naturally while speaking, so a wireless mic ensures clear audio without restricting movement. A podium is helpful but not required for all sessions—many planners like having it available.
⭐ Comedy Performance Requirements
For comedy, lighting and sound make a significant impact on audience energy and timing:
Raised performance area preferred
Comedy works best when the performer is easily seen.
Sound system with a microphone (wireless preferred)
Clear audio allows the timing, punchlines, and storytelling to land the way they should.
Ample lighting to illuminate the performance area
Good lighting allows the audience to see facial expressions and nonverbal cues—key components of clean, story-driven comedy.
⭐ Notes for Event Planners
These guidelines are simple and standard across the industry, and they ensure your audience enjoys the strongest, most professional version of my program. I’m always happy to discuss the space or setup in advance to help you create the best possible environment for your event.
