What to expect

I provide atmospheric instrumental music appropriate for wedding ceremonies, cocktail parties, dinners and other events where guests want to hear themselves speak, with or without amplification. I can work with the couple on the set list.

For costumed events, I have a variety of outfits, so if the client has a color preference, I could probably match it. For non-costumed events I have appropriate, professional black attire.

I can stroll the event or stay in one place, depending on client preferences.

I do not perform bardcore, as a general rule, but there have been a few pieces I have converted into a medieval context, primarily "Pink Pony Club."

About

Greetings! My name is Christiane, and what I hold in my hands is not a tiny guitar, but a medieval instrument called the citole, a relative of the lute family. I started studying medieval music in earnest during the COVID lockdown, and began recording on TikTok for practice accountability. I have a small following there of about 2,700 followers. You can find me there at @adelisasalernitana.

I mostly play music for events held by the Society for Creative Anachronism, a medieval reenactment group, but in the past I have played classical guitar for a few weddings. However, if you are looking for a true medieval flavor to your themed wedding or other special event, look no further! I have a repertoire of music of the period and appropriate clothing, and can play citole, gittern, and a bit of hammer dulcimer as well. I can work with the client to find the perfect sounds for their event.

At present my range is Bucks County, Pennsylvania, as well as adjacent areas in New Jersey and Pennsylvania (Montgomery County, Philadelphia city and county) and around Silver Spring, Maryland. Please feel free to reach out with any questions!

Additional booking notes

I primarily play without amplification, but can provide my own wireless microphone/pickup for a house sound system.

Any space for me to play in should allow some distance from the audience, so they don't take my seat or decide to pick up one of my instruments during a break. I have instrument stands, but wherever I am set to play should have an unobtrusive spot to store instrument cases, etc.
