About

DMV artist Ubsird (ub-sir-d) was born September 1, 1990 at Howard University Hospital. Heavily inspired by the musical styles of Ludacris, and other artists such as Biggie, Tupac and T.I. In mid 2006 he found himself part of a co-ed group Crucial Impact, through a non-profit agency by the name of PowellHouse Project, as part of the group he got to travel to many place and meet many prestigious figures such as Dr. Cornell West, legendary R&B singer Jean Carne among with others. His biggest moment came when, as a member of crucial impact, he was ask by Van McCoy's sister to recreate "Do The Hustle" for her 75th birthday. Sadly, Crucial Impact broke up the following year, but that didn't stop Ubsird. After dropping tracks like "Convertible Top" and "Steppin' Out Fresh" the latter being his most popular, and his first solo project "Time Bomb Tickin Vol. 1", Self taught in ProTools and Reason he began recording his own music. Ubsird decided to venture out on his own, using nothing but a laptop and USB microphone, Ubsird released his sophomore project "Microphone Fiend" with collabs from artist such as his best friend Big Ty, Ellz McGee, and B. Fresh. Now after two cd releases Ubsird is gearing up to release his first EP set to release digitally 4/20/2012 entitled "Up In Smoke", his first project to not feature any collabs, which be followed by his 3rd album entitled B.E.A.S.T. (Be Easy And Stop Trippin) slated for release mid June/ early July, the latter which will feature collabs from Spade (formerly Big Ty), Snypa B, among others. With record labels major and indie looking at him, his summer is already looking pretty hot Be on the lookout for him 2012 is going to be a promising year.
