Two singers, one guitar and an emphasis on elegant harmony, Paul & Janelle are an experienced acoustic duo from Los Angeles with a large repertoire of both traditional and modern duets. We play with small percussion (kick/shaker/tambo) to fill your space and get the people moving and can even learn a few specific songs just for the occasion! Absolutely incredible! When I first started planning my mom's 60th birthday, originally she was just going to do a DJ and I said no I think we should look for a sweet little live music group AND LET ME TELL YOU Paul and Janelle were way more than we could have hoped for! With a classy 60s cocktail theme, they were the perfect addition to the party -- even dressing the part! The weeks leading up to the event, all my mom could talk about was how excited she was for them to come play, listening to their demos all the time! They are even better and sweeter in person! Everyone LOVED them and the truly made the party! Could not recommend enough!

What to expect
Combined, we've got a ton of experience playing in formal (wedding, banquet halls) and informal (The Viper Room, Hotel Cafe) settings around Southern California. We have a large repertoire of songs from all genres (with our own spin, of course), and with sufficient time we can always learn specific songs for the client...
We provide a full PA sound system for our own performance included in our quote! All we need to know is where to plug in.
We are two very positive, upbeat and motivated people. We want nothing more than to make your event memorable!
About
Paul Haasch was raised just south of Richmond, Virginia and grew up listening to his mother harmonizing to The Beatles, Genesis and The Police. As a high school junior, he was a runner up in the local "8 Rising Stars" vocal competition, and received a talent scholarship to study music at The University of Miami, FL. He'd been writing songs for most of his life, but in college, a songwriting class ignited a creative fire in him that burns strong to this day. He has lived in Los Angeles for over a decade, and has performed 100s of shows in that span, from solo singer/songwriter to full band to comedy rock.
Janelle DeJohn, a Houston native, has been a vocalist since the age of 7. She majored in Music Theatre at Oklahoma City University in 2012 and has since been performing in cities across America. She has shared the stage with countless illustrious singing groups such as The Chieftains, and has performed on some of the most revered stages including the Houston Symphony. When she’s not singing, Janelle also does on-camera and voice over work, but her true passion lies on the stage.
Paul and Janelle began singing together in and around Los Angeles in the summer of 2017 following an introduction by a mutual friend. The duo meets regularly to collaborate for various gigs, and is currently booking themselves for weddings, birthdays, corporate parties, etc. The duo prides itself on creative interpretations of popular songs- Paul specifically welcomes new challenges and specific song "transpositions" for each and every event opportunity they receive.
