Gene Urban specializes in close-up & parlour style magic and mentalism . This is the magic that happens inches from you, in your hand and in your mind.

Gene feels it is the best magic. No strange boxes to ponder, no distant stage to confound; just Gene Urban, your guests, a hand full of coins, some cards, a bit of string and other normal objects doings very strange things.

Gene Urban approach to performing magic is decidedly different. Many magicians center the show on themselves. Gene understands most guests like to feel special and appreciated. Thus, in Gene's show, many of the effects are done by the guests. An example is his trademark routine, "You are Magic...Really."

Picture this: A guest looks through a deck of cards and simply thinks of one card, any card. Next, see Gene turn to another guest and ask that person to imagine they are a world-class magician capable of doing impossible things. Now, witness the magic happen as this person reaches into the spread of cards and correctly removes the first person's card of choice. Envision how delighted and awed everyone feels.
