First of all, Ian is just such a cool, professional, and nice person. Secondly, he absolutely MADE our party. From our first conversation, Ian had a great energy and personality. He stayed in touch leading up to the event, helping us work through details and make sure everything flowed smoothly. We were essentially having a wedding reception and kept Ian’s appearance a complete surprise to our guests. From the second his show started, he had the entire audience. The kids (all from three to fourteen) were especially losing their minds, but all of the adults were just as captivated. His animal tricks were really incredible - and it was also obvious how much he loves and cares for his animals. What really stood out was Ian’s delivery. He is SO funny, fantastic at misdirection, and knows exactly how to work a crowd. The interactive portions were especially wonderful… the family loved seeing each other become part of the show, and the younger participants got memories they’ll keep forever. Everyone complimented the show afterward and spent the rest of the night hypothesizing about how he did the tricks. But my favorite part was something I hadn’t anticipated when we booked him: magicIAN really brought the family together. We’re a big group with lots of personalities and history, and for that hour, everyone was simply happy and together - laughing, full of joy and wonder, sharing the same experience. We booked a magician because we thought it would be fun. Instead, magicIAN gave us the highlight of our celebration and a memory our family will be talking about for years. I realize I’ve now written a small novel about a magician, but he really was that good. Cannot recommend him enough.
