Zach was my Youth Pastor for almost 4 years, and he has also been a huge mentor in my life as I am wanting to also go into Youth Ministry. Zach is an amazing man of God, leader, friend, ambassador for Christ, evangelist, encourager, communicator, the list could go on. I have heard him communicate from stage countless times, so I can say without a doubt he is an incredible speaker and knows how to keep people’s attention. Zach prepares well for his messages, and he always makes sure that he truly believes whatever he is preaching about because integrity is important to him. His personal testimony and his passion for the gospel inspire me, and he is able to communicate both in such a powerful way. Zach has taught me so much and has made more of an impact on my life than he will probably ever know!

I volunteered for a church that Zach was the youth pastor at. He had all the qualities of a great pastor and speaker. He was fun, charismatic, relatable, emotional when needed. Always open to show his own vulnerabilities, making it easy for people to open up themselves. Kids and adults both loved him. I always told him and others he has a real effortless gift with people.

About to give my first talk, I watched as the audience froze with anticipation. As I looked around the room, I couldn't help but notice everyone staring - nobody blinked. My notes within reach on the blue leather podium below me and a nervous smile peering across my face. "You can do this" I reminded myself, right before opening my mouth to speak.
When I was done, nobody clapped.
Nobody cheered.
No one came to shake my hand.
I felt all alone.
I have to keep reminding myself that I was only 5 years old and my audience was made of stuffed animals!
My first podium was just a small blue rocking chair flipped upside down. That is where it all started. I believe that God created me to connect with people and inspire them to action. Speaking is just one of the ways I have been privileged to do that. My dad was a key influence for me to pursue a career in Christian leadership. I believe it was his death at 47 years old that became the catalyst for me to fully embrace what I was made to do. Walk in light and lead others to do the same.
I grew up leading groups on and off stage. All through school, starting in 5th grade, I was given opportunities to lead others, primarily in church settings, (real people this time) and it energized me. Shortly after graduating high school, I began stepping into more staff role positions at church. With nearly a decade of experience leading both on and off stage, 6 of which were at the largest church in North America, I have gained valuable experience and insights that I love to walk through with others.
Since development is never done, I always look forward to serving and learning from those I speak with.
