What to expect
You can expect literally some of the best vocals you will ever hear at a live event. Zach and the crew cater to YOU! Acoustic driven, rhythmic, percussive playing style mixed with fingerpicking gives songs you've heard a thousand times a fresh feel and perspective. It also doesn't hurt that Zach is attractive, polite, and super down to earth and fun to be around.
Depending on which type of event you are booking for will determine your set list or experience. If you are booking a cover show, you'll be invited into a laid back yet fun, relaxing, and enjoyable experience- at the same time it's mixed with hard hitting beats and tight grooves from varying styles of music like pop, country, classic rock, Motown, and blues. It's a unique sound from what we've been told over here at Zachary Freedom Music.
Looking for classy, fun, good times guaranteed - you found them!
Available as a solo or duo, or even full band - as the duo, we play our sets with Schlagwerk cajons and misc. percussion such as splash cymbal, tambourine, goat hooves (yes, it's fun to watch and a great conversation piece) and other misc. percussion to go along with Zach's crazy amazing vocals and rhythmic style of guitar play. Zach ALSO plays the electric guitar when applicable.
To sum things up, we've got upwards of 6 hours of material to choose from. We've got a sound system adequate enough for over 1000 people if need be, countless styles, arrangements, and ready to answer any questions you might have. We also break after every hour - so if we play from 7-8, we'll break at 8, then our next break will be at 9, then 10, etc.
If you are booking an original song showcase of positive, Christ centered music, you'll hear some great stories and testimony of the journey's Zach has been on and even hear some spoken word, slam poetry intermixed!

Zachary is said to be one of the best vocalists in the entire midwest by his peers and fans. Sharing the stages with Grammy Nominated CCM artists and countless regional artists touring throughout the midwest and beyond. While his passion remains positive music and influence, encouraging lyrics and a stage presence and attitude to match- Zach performs numerous cover shows featuring the hottest artists from the 40's through today, creating fresh, vibrant, melodic pop/soul/folk twists on each of them. Zach is fun, charming, professional, and super cool. Most importantly, these traits and his character- are genuine and he truly cares about his audience and the messages and thoughts he creates through performance on and off of the stage.
Zach and his family have been around the block. From tragic and trauma to joyful mountaintop experiences- He takes those encounters with life and puts them into songs you can relate to, be challenged by, and flat out moved by. His authenticity is uncanny. You'll see that when you meet him.
Zachary is married to the beautiful Amanda. Together they own the award winning main street shoppe "Little House on Main" in Bondurant, IA. They reside in that same Des Moines suburb with their 4 precious boys. Embracing humanity with love, positive action, and community development are things Zach holds himself accountable to when it comes to walking the walk, gaining respect for the things he sings about, writes about, and experiences. He does what he say's he's going to do and that's that. Listen, share, and enjoy.
Born in Cedar Rapids, Iowa on May 21st 1987.

We need at least 8 feet by 8 feet of room whether solo or duo.
Adequate lighting for the performance area.
Sound tech when applicable if you have a house system, but it's definitely not required.
If outlets are far from the staging or performance area, please be sure to have extension cables if need be.
Please let us know what kind of systems you have for sound, lighting and stage and what type of area we'll be in or on. If we need to haul extra lighting or any other equipment, we'll Need to know.
