January 25, 2025Yvette was the main speaker for our women's event. She kept in communication with us and was flexible when a snowstorm hampered our original plan. She was informative, inspiring, engaging, and her talk really resonated with the audience. She was on time and organized. She provided a wonderful slide presentation with prompts for our AV team. Yvette Walker is the host of the Positively Joy podcast and founder of Positively Joy Ministries at (link hidden). Prior to an awakening, she was unfulfilled in her marriage, and life in general, and not sure why. Does this sound like you? After hearing God’s calling, Yvette started POSITIVELY JOY as a podcast and ministry about the struggle for us to walk in our joy. God recently tugged on her heart to speak to women in transition going through divorce, separation or loss. Her podcast, blog, and social media is pivoting to speak to this audience by studying the Bible, looking for God in the commonplace, and finding his joy in the details. Yvette published "Sixty," a Christian crime novel in 2024, a journal in 2023, "Journaling His Joy," and the life lesson-filled devotional “Whispering in His Ear” in 2021. She can be found on social media at Positively Joy Podcast. Yvette is an Opinion journalist and is a former Dean of Students for a journalism college. She has been inducted into the Oklahoma Journalism Hall of Fame. She has been a newspaper editor, a news ombudsman, a reporter, and a podcaster and has supervised online content management systems for two websites. She is a native of Chicago and now lives in Kansas City.
