Price range: $1,000 - $10,000
It depends on whether you're looking for full band energy, or a solo acoustic set. For full band, I'll pull together a team with percussion (cajon etc.), bass guitar, a lead guitar player (either banjo, ganjo, or extra acoustic guitar), and finally me as the front man playing acoustic guitar and singing. For a solo set, I do some looping stuff for extra depth of sound, but for the most part I'd just be playing my songs straight through--one man, one guitar. Of course, which direction you want to go in will effect the price range, so it depends on your budget and what you're looking for.
I grew up in New England listening to every folk song in existence from the time I was walking. Years later, I wrote my first song and my future was determined from there. Songwriting is what I love most, and second to that is sharing the songs with others. I've grown a lot on instagram and Spotify and the like, which is wonderful, but I want to share my music with folks live. So, I made a Gig Salad account to see if I can connect with like-minded people out in the real world. I've had some gigs interspered here and there, but I want to make it more of a focus. Plus, I need to work extra hard this year to provide for my family, and providing music is the best way I know how.
