WestWend is an acoustic country band combining the talents of Wendy Crowe and Jonathan Maness. Their repertoire includes fresh versions of country and bluegrass standards, as well as an eclectic mix of pop, blues, and hand crafted originals. WestWend will flexibly and professionally entertain your audience no matter the occasion.
Wendy Crowe and Jonathan Maness both have been playing music for over 20 years. Jonathan has toured the country as a musician with bands such as “Dixie Beeliners”, "Mountain Soul", and "Valerie Smith".
Wendy has been in the entertainment buisness as long as she can remember touring Mexico, Bahamas and the U.S. She was a participant in the Miss Mississippi Contest in 1998 and moved on to perform at Dollywood in 1999. Both Jonathan and Wendy have both released solo CD's: Jonathan Maness, “TIME, LOVE, AND MONEY” and Wendy Crowe, “THE WAY I AM”, that are being played world wide that are on sale on Itunes, Amazon, and many other websites. They are currently working on their debut WestWend CD. They have shared the stage with the likes of Tyler Hilton, Guy Clark, Rhonda Vincent, Verlan Thompson, and many others. They have appeared on PBS Song of the Mountains and the Ciderville Farm and Home Show.
WestWend is a combined of professional seasoned musicians and performers, now living in East Tennessee, and available for you to hire through Gigsalad. There are many options for your music when you choose WestWend. They can perform as a Live Duo Acoustic act playing all your favorite songs. They can perform as a full band that consist of a professional rotating cast of bass, fiddle/mandolin, drums, and guitar.
WestWend will ensure your special occasion is unforgetable. You can sit and listen or dance to the night away. You will still be able to visit and chat with your guests as the volume level is easily controllable. It's like having all your favorite bands and artists right at your party or event with Live Musician singing and playing guitar to all your favorite songs! If you want professional and fun this is the band for you.
**Things to keep in mind when hiring the band: You are hiring someone to stand on stage and sing/play plus: equipment and instruments, hours of rehearsal time and space, transportation to and from the gig, hours of lessons that was spent on learning and perfecting their talent and craft, outfits, promotion, website fees, taxes, phone and internet bills organizing the event, manger/agent fees. The payment also has to cover food, a roof over the musicians heads, bills, car expense, and every other living expense.
