We pride ourselves on having an up-beat energy, and can adapt to just about any musical setting. Whether we're playing originals at a festival or covers at a corporate event, the audience's experience is our top priority and we can cover everything from Top 40 tunes to the classics. The band has a variety of forms it can take based on your budget - we can bring a backing band, play as an acoustic trio, duo or Sam can perform solo.

We wanted Americana style music and we gave direction of Tyler Childers and Chris Stapleton which they played and they also played Jason Isbell, The Band and even Sublime which was a pleasant surprise. They were a hit for young and old. They definitely got people on the dance floor with a perfect mix of fast and slow songs.

From the event planner's point of view, you're going to get a group of people, whether it's full band, duo, or trio, that is respectful and easy to work with. We're professionals and great communicators. An audience can expect to see a band that sounds great and is having a ton of fun. We can bring a lot of energy to the stage, but also know when it's better to embrace a more laid-back vibe when the gig calls for it. We just want to provide everyone with a positive experience and make some good music.
The Sam Gyllenhaal Band has found the sweet spot. That place where rich three-part harmony and thoughtful, catchy songs come together. Whether it's playing original songs at a festival, covers at a corporate event, or anything in between, the band makes the audience's experience their top priority. When it comes to cover songs, they love to blend the tried and true songs everybody loves with modern originality that only three top-notch singer/songwriters could pull off.
Joined by frequent co-writer Alaina Stacey and long-time friend and bandmate Alex Schreiner on harmony vocals, the Sam Gyllenhaal band officially came together in 2017. Their Pop, Rock, and Americana influences inspire their songs' cascading melodies, driving grooves and vivid lyrics. The band likes to sing about life and love in motion - sometimes soaring, sometimes stumbling, but always moving forward.
We are very flexible when it comes to technical requirements. Being an act that can be full-band or completely stripped down, we have a lot of equipment wiggle room. We have a PA system that can provide good sound for a backyard or coffee-house-sized room. We have a lot of tech-savvy in the more do-it-yourself situations.

We have a wide range of influences. We grew up on classic rock and are heavily influenced by the Beatles, Eagles, the Band, and Motown. We're huge fans of John Mayer, Ben Rector, and Amos Lee, along with some modern country acts like Little Big Town and Chris Stapleton.
We can do it all - from just our voices and an acoustic guitar, to a full-band, stage setup. We have the capability to bring our own PA system if necessary.
