“Jody was great! We had him come to a women’s fundraiser at our church. Easy to work with and such a great personality. We would definitely invite him back. ”
We Have To Lead Better
Overview
"Rubin wrote the book on this stuff" (American Library Association). But even with his international bestseller Collaborative Leadership and his decades of coaching, training, speaking and teaching, the evidence is clear: it hasn't worked! We're more polarized now than we've been in generations. Mission-driven public leaders is the audience for Hank's dynamic, engaging and practical speeches. His message is not only "WE HAVE TO LEAD BETTER", it's the title of his new book: a practical toolkit for mission-driven public leaders. Compelling engaged speaking, direct and hard-hitting questions, step-by-step, practical bridge-building for practical leaders.

About
Hank has spent his career helping mission-driven public leaders and teachers build trust, lead change, and collaborate across difference. A bestselling author and prolific writer; former superintendent, commissioner, dean of education, nonprofit CEO, professor, distinguished visiting professor, and VP of both a global manufacturer and a $200,000,000 foundation. Hank’s convened bold collaborations in philanthropy, antiracism, and education; continues to support and launch essential networks of service providers and elected officials; taught 7th and 8th grades and worked his way through college singing pop and rock and roll.
As a speaker and writer, Hank combines the wit of a friend with the credibility of a scholar and the grounded practicality of someone who's done the gritty work – always favoring clarity over complexity, lively engagement over lectures.
