Overview
We are a five-piece alternative/indie rock band from the Detroit area. Our sound ranges from alternative rock in the vein of Foo Fighters and Queens of The Stone Age, to power pop and old school heavy metal. Our album "Out of The Darkness" was produced and engineered by Andy Patalan of Sponge and we have opened for national acts such as Vertical Horizon and Sponge. Our Spotify streams have exceeded 100K and have received a lot of positive press and reviews for our music.

What to expect
We deliver a fun, engaging and energetic live show full of great original songs, plus cover songs when the gig or event calls for it. We have played everything from a 45 minute set of originals to a two hour set of originals plus covers.
About
Vultures of Culture began as a songwriting project by local veteran vocalist Luke DeWitt and guitarist Dave Goodman. Along with bassist Matt LaFleur, Drummer Mike Birchler and guitarist Josh Friedman, Vultures of Culture spent their time during COVID-19 lockdown crafting the songs that would eventually become their debut album Out of The Darkness, along with many more. With a mix of alternative rock, power pop and old-school heavy metal, Vultures of Culture have played in front of national audiences opening for bands such as Sponge and Vertical Horizon. They are active on the local Detroit music scene and continue to play shows on a regular basis.
Their album "Out of The Darkness" was produced by Sponge guitarist Andy Patalan at The Loft Studios in Saline, MI.
Additional booking notes
We require three vocal mics, floor monitors and the proper mic'ing for instruments that you would expect for a five-piece rock band.
