Reggae, Rock, Folk, Pop, and Soul mellowed up between two graham crackers with chocolate, COAST is a Michigan duo on a quest to bring people together. Bring your close friends and leave a little closer.

With over 1500 combined shows prior to forming COAST - Steve (Vocals • Guitar) & Jake (Drum Kit • Cajon) have been full-time musicians since 2018 in the Metro Detroit area, providing live music for parties, county clubs, weddings, public events, restaurants and much more as a solo-entertainer and various bands.

Saw these guys at Tap-ins in Howell and had a great time! they had a bool with over 100 songs you could request and they performed them perfectly! Definitely recommend them!

What to expect
Splitting this into Event Planner side and Audience side...
Event Planner:
• Always arrives earlier than EARLY. Making sure there is ample time to comply with expected runsheet, set-up, and start times.
• Gorgeous live sound quality and mix - Steve went to mixing school and has continued refining that skill at home in his studio work.
• NO sound check required - Coast's setup is plug-in-and-go.
• Small footprint Stage and Lights! Steve and Jake each have their own micro-stage (4ftx4ft) with dynamic lights attached. It's like the tiniest big concert, and it can be set up anywhere!
• Off-grid capabilities - with help from their professional silent powerbank, Coast can perform far away from an electrical outlet for up to 10 hours!! Even with their full lights and extra speakers.
• Formal, Semi-Formal, Casual, and Beach-day outfits. Coast will always dress appropriately according to the event.
• Promotion Smarts - Coast will always do their part to draw attendees for public events and happy to contribute to a promotion strategy!
• Volume & Amplification - Most PA's loss 50% in amplitude every doubling of distance from 10m away - Coast's PA losses 25%. Meaning that VOLUME CONSISTENCY across your party is smooth - So when your guests are standing close they are listening at a comfortable volume AND when they are far away the music is still enjoyable. Technical Details: Bose L1 M2 B2, MAX 115dB at 3ft and that would carry to 85dB (considered low concert, high conversation volume) at 100ft.

Audience:
• Fun - The most important ingredient and, some might say, skill. Coast isn't shy, though they are gentlemen. Be ready for a friendly quip, an unexpected compliment, and casual moments of unscripted banter. Coast won't hijack your evening out or party, and also won't be a quiet wallflower - two normal guys with good energy 😄🙂
• Volume - Never too loud or too quiet, just right - with a mix like a chief's kiss 😊🎵
• Requests - The music can be completely handpicked by YOU or fully hands-off. Song requests can be made long before the event date, or in picked during our performance from our short list of ready-to-go songs (+320 song titles to choose from live).

Holly, Michigan born and raised. 🏝️COAST formed on a day's drive home from a beach party gig in on the shores of lake Charlevoix, MI. Steve and Jake agreed "if every gig was like this then life would be pretty much perfect" . . . . after a long pause . . . "why don't we make that happen?".
Every once in a while Steve or Jake would recruit the other for a gig they needed an additional musician for, but until that fateful drive back home Steve was making his living as a solo act and Jake as a drummer for three bands.
Now, COAST is living their dream as the bonfire-on-a-beach ambassador of music here in the mitten state.

What is most often overlooked about COAST:
• Remote Power - Coast play anywhere with their professional power bank - up to 10 hours of performance off-grid.
• Micro-Stages & lighting - Jake and Steve brings their own band stages! 4ftx4ft each. With over head and backing lights! Shrinking a classic concert setup into a 12ft x 6ft area 😎
• Jake and Steve are seasoned performers! Steve was booked over 1,000 times as a solo act, and Jake over 300 across 3 bands, before the formation of COAST.
• COAST public shows follow a sequence: Set 1, "power hour", seamless transitions and crowd favorites. Set 2, "requests", all the songs the attendees wrote down during the first set. MYSTERY PRIZE: right before the 3rd set, the band talks to the crowd and has some excitement and laughs with a mystery giveaway prize to one lucky attendee [see COAST Instagram for video]. Set 3, "originals", original songs by Steve (a.k.a Ash Colors) and the last of the requests until the end of the night.
