Ante Up!
We’ll start with the basics first: venue. For a casino party, you will need a lot of open space for all of the tables. I recommend a convention center or banquet hall. Also, if the weather is nice, you could hold the event outside. All you would need to is rent some tents and set up some lighting underneath. Once you have your venue figured out, you need to decide on the games. Casino party rental companies can provide an assortment of casino games. You can have an assortment of games: blackjack, poker, roulette, craps, etc. Another option is to theme the event around one game. For example, have a Texas Hold-Um party. Be sure the game rental company provides staff for the appropriate games.
In addition to the games, you will want some other entertainment. One option is to have musicians covering classic Vegas entertainers. A few options would be to have an Cher, Elvis, or Frank Sinatra impersonator. These impersonators provide musical entertainment while keeping with the Vegas casino vibe. Other musical options include hiring a jazz band, Top 40 band, or cover band. You could also have Las Vegas showgirls strolling the event; they can mingle with the guests and possibly even perform a dance number. Another strolling entertainer option is a close-up magician.

Now that you’ve chosen a venue, it’s time to decorate! If you are not providing a meal, rent some couches or other furnishings for your guests to lounge on while not playing. If you do have banquet tables, have Vegas and casino themed centerpieces. You could also have balloon columns and archways at the entrance and throughout the event space.
Since real money is not being gambled at these types of events, you’ll need to come up with other ways to reward the top dog. You could try to get items donated to serve as prizes. If this is a company party, you could use something like extra personal or vacation days as prizes. To do this, give everyone the same number of chips to start off with and have everyone stop play at the same time. You can give away prizes based on who was number 1, 2, etc. or you can have the players cash in their chips for raffle tickets. The more chips they have the more raffle tickets they get, and then they can put their tickets in for the prize they want.

It’s not Vegas-style with out a few drinks. Hire a bartender to serve up beverages for your guests. If you’d like to save a little money, go with a limited bar instead of a full bar. Choose a few signature drinks instead of offering everything. This cuts back on liquor costs because the bartenders don’t have to fully stock the bar; they just have to provide the liquor that is required for your signature drinks. If your party is a corporate function where you are treating your employees, have cocktail servers wait on the gaming tables to offer your guests complimentary drinks.
Depending on the type of event you can have a catered meal, an appetizer or entree buffet, or butlered hors d’voures. If you’re providing a full meal, you’ll need to be sure your venue has enough space to accommodate banquet tables in half the room and the casino tables in the other half. If you want your event to focus more on the games than the meal, have servers butler hors d’voures to the casino players. Another fun option when it comes to food is to have a themed cake. Hire a cake decorator to create a Vegas-themed cake. You could have them create a roulette wheel or craps table or anything else you desire.
Casino parties are a fun way to host a party whether it be a corporate or private event. The casino rental company provides everything on the casino end; however, if you’re doing a more large scale event that requires a lot outside of the casino, hire an event planner to handle the details. Let the dice roll and have a great casino party!
