What to expect

Audiences can expect to laugh, reflect, and participate—learning how to translate everyday language into workplace-ready communication while gaining perspective on resilience, professionalism, and personal growth.

About

Cassi Marshall is a dynamic speaker, facilitator, and corporate risk leader who blends humor, honesty, and hard-won wisdom to help people thrive at work—even after work has tried to break them.

A wife and mother of two girls, Cassi holds a Bachelor’s degree in Communications from the University of Alabama in Huntsville and a Master’s degree in Education from Union University. She has spent more than 20 years in the risk and insurance industry, navigating high-stakes environments where accountability, resilience, and clarity matter.

In the middle of her corporate career, Cassi took a brave detour—stepping into the classroom to teach sixth-grade language arts. That experience sharpened her voice, deepened her empathy, and strengthened her belief that communication can either wound or heal, depending on how it’s used.

Today, Cassi leads the corporate insurance function for a large healthcare organization, advising executives and teams on managing risk while protecting people. Her work is grounded not just in professional expertise, but lived experience. After surviving a deeply unhealthy workplace—one that, in her words, “left poop on my soul”—Cassi did the hard, necessary work of cleansing, rebuilding, and reclaiming her purpose so she could return to work well, whole, and useful again.

Through engaging, interactive sessions that often mix humor with truth, Cassi helps audiences translate pain into power, trauma into tools, and everyday language into workplace-ready communication. Her message is simple but profound: you can be competent, human, and healed—and still lead.
