I'm an experienced professional speaker and a Professional Member of the National Speakers Association. I've worked with a host of event planners through the years and do my very best to make your work simpler and enjoyable.

On stage, I use self-deprecating humor and personal stories to connect with and engage your audience. I'm passionate, vulnerable, authentic, and funny. And I tend to talk fast. Your audience will be encouraged and inspired, but they'll also leave with practical action steps they can take beyond the event.

Off stage, I do my best to connect with your folks one-on-one. I'm generally not huddled in a green room somewhere, but down on the floor greeting people, listening to their stories, praying with them, and letting them know they matter to God and to me.

As an inspirational speaker and Bible teacher, I connect people and their stories to God and His larger story, help them know they are loved no matter what, and encourage them to follow Jesus and find their hope in Him.

My ultimate goal is for your audience to have a profound encounter with God that changes things: their perspective, their attitude, their relationships, their life's work, their eternity.

I love adventure, meeting new people, and experiencing new places! As an Enneagram 7, I'm all about fun. It's part of how I connect with audiences. I think most people come to events hoping they'll be fun. People want to be entertained, to be challenged, and to be inspired. So I incorporate a little of all three in my talks. I believe strongly in modeling authentic leadership, so I'm able to share the worst parts of my story with vulnerability and discretion. And lots of humor! We all love to laugh and it's good for the soul.

After spending 14 years in the marketplace, I was a church planter and pastor for the next 22 years. Over the last 10 years, I've served as a conference and retreat speaker, had the honor of counseling and coaching more than 300 people, and taking adventure-loving clients around the world on transformational treks and tours. In the last 5 years, I've taken groups to the Holy Land, Turkey, Greece, Iceland, Patagonia, Chile', and Machu Picchu Peru.

I've been married to Marlina Martin for 42 years and we live on a 54 acre farm in Middle Alabama with our son, daughter-in-law, two grandkids, and a dog named Dugg. There is also a donkey.
