The Shady Saint

I hired Mr. O'Ryan to speak at our annual service awards for our 220 employees. I am at a loss of words. In my 30 professional years I have never seen a motivation speaker perform so badly. I have hired speakers for this event for over 20 years and this was the first time I had to send an apology out to all of my employees. He attempted to call me numerous times the following day. I thought he was calling to apologize, but instead he was calling to complain that one of our empIoyee's left a bad review on his Facebook page. I gave respectful, but honest, feedback to Taddley only to be met with excuses. His presentation was disorganized, his stories were unbelievable, with dates and facts that didn't add up. He made inappropriate comments, including making a negative comment about another client he did a presentation for, which he called out by name. I told him he was not worth the money he charged me and he actually offered me a refund. It has been more than three weeks and I have not received it. I am not a mean spirited person, but I felt I had an obligation to put a review online in hopes of sparing another company or organization a disastrous event like ours. He has no business calling himself a motivational speaker. I have 220 people that would gladly back me up! His moniker "the shady saint" is very befitting of him, with an emphasis on "shady".
