The Resonance Project
Overview
The Resonance Project breathes new life into early music from around the world without the filter of museum glass. Their vision draws from early music such as 11c Hildegard of Bingen, Celtic music, Gregorian chant, Indian classical music, the African diaspora, the Middle East and Spain. Their music is enchanting. Stephanie was the recipient of the Ringling Towers Award for Performing Arts (2011), and is an artist in residence at the Hermitage Artist Retreat. The Resonance Project mesmerized audiences in a TedXSarasota performance in 2012, and a film soundtrack which debuted in the Sarasota Fringe Film Festival.

The Resonance Project...
breathes new life into music of old from around the world, connecting audiences to sacred and ancient music without the filter of museum glass. Their vision draws from early folk traditions, Celtic music, Gregorian chant, Indian classical music, the African diaspora, the Middle East and Spain.
Co-founders, Stephanie Heidemann and Julian Douglas, also lead interactive workshops in community settings, yoga centers, and festivals. They facilitate community singing & drumming workshops with the emphasis on Flow* and creative improvisation. TRP has collaborated with HuDost, Charles Gibson, David Gittens on CDs as well as film soundtracks (debuted in Sarasota Fringe Film Festival).
