​I've been the Professor of Comedy now since August 2008. It has been a wonderful exercise in the psychology of making others laugh and be happy. That is the most important thing, making others happy. That's been my dream since I was in second grade. It lead me to pursue comedy as the most efficient and effective way of delivering that to the human experience.
Aside from my academic pursuits of knowledge, I studied improv/sketch comedy at Second City, Improv Olympic, and Annoyance Theatre in Chicago when I was 19. Having started doing improv games when I was 10, I was fascinated by the childlike wonder and how much improv reminded me of playing pretend and how important whimsy and fantasy is for the world. But the major lesson it taught me that would become the cornerstone of my stand-up, is the lesson of "Treat the audience as though they are geniuses and they will rise to the occasion."
Who knew Math/Science/History/Philosophy/English/Phychology/ect jokes could fill a room with laughter?
