"The Ebony Sonshine Puppets"

An award-winning variety puppet performance for all ages with lots of Fun along with an educational message. We have participated in Anniversaries, Birthdays, Children's Church, Daycares, Schools, and any Church, Family, & Community Events. We have served at health fairs, conferences, VBS, and fundraisers - even MC a program, just to name a few. What to expect - an Enjoyable FUN-FILLED show!

Our founder, Leonard Corbin served as the “children's pastor” at the former Full Gospel A.M.E. Zion's Children's Church (Temple Hills, Maryland). During this time, he organized weekly Sunday worship services for over 300 children and supervised over 50 children's church workers and trained a ministerial staff of 15 ordained preachers. He also planned children's revivals and graduation programs. Elder Corbin was also employed as a computer instructor and after school coordinator for their Christian School.

Elder Corbin has been instrumental in developing, leading and teaching several congregations with their Children's Ministry, children activities and programs. He has trained and led a local youth group in the art of puppet manipulation, which won the group first place in the regional finals for “Effective Evangelism Through Puppetry”.

In September 1992 Elder Corbin founded Ebony Sonshine Ministry (ESM) an intercity children’s and youth ministry presenting the Gospel of Jesus Christ through the performing arts (puppetry, dance, music, drama and storytelling). ESM has ministered from the island nation of Bermuda to a memorial tribute at World Trade Center, in New York City after the 9-Eleven attacks. Having led thousands (children, youth and families) to the Lord, ESM has become one of the nation’s capital premier puppet ministries who minister to children. ESM has now expanded it’s vision and mission, to include all children not just those who are “in the church”, thus changing it’s name to Ebony Sonshine Puppets.

Elder Corbin is married to his lovely wife of over 30 years, Jinkie, and they have three sons, John, Nathan and Daniel. He and his family are activity engaged in the art of puppetry in their local community.

If there is any weather forecast of ice, fleet and/or snow in any of the traveling area, we ARE UNABLE to travel. We preserve the right to cancel or postpone your performance at anytime. No Exceptions! Fully Refundable
(2) Outdoors Cancellation Policy:
If there is any forecast of rain or dampness, we MUST be place on the inside at your event. You have the right to postpone or cancel the event. No Exceptions! Balance Refundable
(3) Long Distance Travel: MINIMUM of $1200.00.
