The Abaddon Tango Ensemble

Our performance can be oriented in different ways to accommodate to the needs of your special event. We can perform a concert repertoire, a danceable repertoire or background music. We can also add dancers if desired, to our concert/performance, and/or have them instruct a class for the attendees.
We perform instrumental music, from traditional Tango, to more contemporary compositions.
Our fees start at $1600 for our quartet ensemble, depending on the duration and characteristic of the event. (please contact us for more info).

Abaddón is the result of team-work between a group of well known Tango musicians in the City of New York. From the beginning, it was an ambitious challenge: start a Traditional Tango Sextet, (which consist of two Bandoneons, two Violins, Bass & Piano) being nowadays the ONLY one outside Argentina.
Abaddon covers a very powerful and varied repertoire, including original arrangements & compositions, as well as adaptations of the most important pieces of the music of Buenos Aires. Compositions by Astor Piazzolla, Raul Garello, Sexteto Mayor, Osvaldo Pugliese, Anibal Troilo & Alejandro Bruschini are part of our program.
On December 2016 Abaddon released their first videoclip, Filmed in NYC & New Jersey. On August 2022 the first EP of the Sextet was released. The album includes 6 pieces which had set a precedent in the contemporary Tango Scene.

Sound, stage and lightning has to be discussed case by case. Please include Venue's size and all the pertinent information about your event upon requesting a quote. We do provide a sound system for small events for an additional fee.
