Mariachi Hidalgo NYC

My name is Kiyoko Nakamura, my husband is Mexican American, and I am Japanese. We celebrated our 15-year Anniversary here in New York City on December 18th, 2021. (We are from California)
I wanted to surprise my husband with a Mariachi Band (he loves Mariachi) that offered quality in service and performance.

I have a M.M from Kyoto University for Music & Art, and I fully understand what I was looking for in a musical group, specifically a Mariachi band. I investigated each Mariachi band here in NYC, their quality as musicians, social media, reviews etc.

Many mariachi bands stated, "they are the best" or "Number 1 in NEW YORK CITY", but I can assure you all from looking at their YouTube performances & social medias that they are NOT.
A few did play back, had a CD recording of an actual PROFESSIONAL band in the background while these so called "Best in NYC" made it seem as if it was them performing, FALSE advertisement.

Once I saw Mariachi Hidalgo NYC, directed by a youthful person with a B.A in Music & History. (Having a degree in any accredited field is one way to ensure the person knows what they are offering.)
I investigated everything about this ensemble before contacting. YouTube , Instagram, all their social medias in order to understand whom I was calling. After checking out everything, proper technique on their instruments and vocals, no play back, presentable, quality musicians. I knew this band was going to be AMAZING!

From the moment I contacted to book them until the performance's date this is what I received.
A very professional service to not just myself but to my husband and guests as well. Very detailed in terms of explaining the full booking process, punctual, proper technique on their instruments & voice, an amazing show that interacts with the crowd. This band had it all! Everyone loved it!

Technical playing, clean suits, well groomed, presentable. 100/100

If you are looking for a mediocre or an economical option or a group to just make noise regardless of how they sound. Then I would not recommend this band for your event.

If, however, you are looking for a PROFESSIONAL band to make your special moments even more memorial. Then YES, I recommend this band too you,

Mariachi Hidalgo NYC! You will not be disappointed.

Overall:
Quality, Punctual, Presentable, Professional, Show/Performance, Amazing service from start to finish.

If we ever visit New York City again, we will definitely contract
Mariachi Hidalgo again for all of our events.

I am a NY wedding planner and Mariachi Hidalgo NYC performed at one of my weddings in June 2021. Thank you so much to Hernan and the whole team at Mariachi Hidalgo for making our night! They were excellent communicators, prompt, and performed beautifully! Highly recommend!

It truly was amazing to have Mariachi Hidalgo sing via zoom to my mother. Honestly, the love and attention that was expressed through every song was really uplifting, inspiring and they moved my family and friends in many ways. They were very professional and I will definitely contact them again. Hopefully the next event will be in person, but the truth is they were so amazing it didn't feel like it was via zoom. Thanks again.

We contacted Mariachi Hidalgo for my dad's 90th birthday. For various reasons, we were not able to contact them until the night before my dad's birthday lunch. Even so, I received a text response from them within minutes of me reaching out. We had a quick phone call to discuss how it would work, fees, and even Covid protocols since I wanted my dad and anyone involved to be safe. They were wonderful! They showed up on time, had masks and sanitizers, were very professional, and very sweet to my dad. My dad loves mariachis and was so stunned and delighted that they came to his house and serenaded him! I highly recommend Mariachi Hidalgo if you need a mariachi band!

A great act & very professional. When faced with the prospect of rain they contacted us immediately to work out an alternate plan. We had time to set up a tent, and they played for a memorable birthday surprise!
