March 4, 2024Beautiful performance
My sister and I hired Sydney to sing 3 songs at a celebration of life gathering, honoring our parents. She played, Both Sides Now (Joni Mitchell), Hallelujah (Leonard Cohen), and You Say Nothing at All (Alison Krauss, Union Station). Her voice is so very beautiful and her guitar playing was spot on. I feel really fortunate to have found Sydney, as she helped create the vibe we were aiming for - soulful, contemplative, and a perfect mix of uplifting and a little somber.
In the planning and coordination of details, Sydney was incredibly responsive, and so easy to work with. I only wished I had recorded the performances, so as to be able to look back and share.

March 3, 2024Magical Performance!
I hired Sydney to sing at my father's celebration of life, and I couldn't have asked for a better way to honor my father. She delivered beautiful renditions of his favorite hits from the Beatles, John Denver, and others. Her beautiful voice brought all the guests to tears and made the day extremely special. Additionally, Sydney was always communicative throughout the process and extremely personable as well. I would love to hire her for future events.

October 19, 2022Brought guests to tears!
Within the last few months of our wedding planning we decide to switch our location to be indoor for our rain plan. We ended up having absolutely perfect weather in October - BUT - switching to indoors allowed us the option to have a musician play during our ceremony.
Sydney (+ her partner Alec) brought many of our guests to tears with her beautiful voice and curated covers of "You're Still The One" and "Paper Rings".
I didn't have a videographer for my wedding, and i regret it ONLY because then I didn't get a recording of Sydney performing. It was beautiful and the perfect accompaniment to our processional and recessional.
Additionally, her communication and work ethic while we were planning was top notch. Highly recommend hiring her for events!

What to expect
My music is warm, vocal-centric, and heavily jazz-influenced. I generally perform solo with my archtop guitar, or with a trio (bass and drums) backing me, creating for an intimate performance experience. In some environments (or depending on what a client is looking for), I also perform with a trumpet or saxophone. I perform jazz standards, traditional pop covers, and my original jazz music; clients may also request specific cover songs for their event if desired. My performance style is conducive to events such as weddings, proposals, cocktail parties, bar/restaurant events, etc.
Although I largely perform solo, I am also available for hire with my trio (includes addition of bass & drums for a more lively/upbeat sound).
