Incredible Talent!

We hired Grant to perform at my father’s 75th birthday party, and he was absolutely phenomenal. He’s truly a multi-talented musician — seamlessly switching between piano, guitar, and vocals to play all of my dad’s favorite songs. From Billy Joel classics to yacht rock hits, he delivered every number with skill, charm, and heart.

All of our guests raved about the music and had such a great time. On top of his talent, Grant couldn’t have been easier to work with — professional, friendly, and genuinely a great guy.

We couldn’t have asked for a better performer. Highly recommend!

Grant Swift is an absolutely phenomenal musician and performer. He played at our wedding, and we couldn't have been happier with his performance. From the moment he started playing, we were blown away by his incredible talent and musicality.

Grant is an incredibly skilled musician who clearly loves what he does. His passion for music shines through in every note he plays, and he has an incredible ability to connect with his audience and create a truly magical atmosphere.

Not only is Grant an exceptional musician, but he is also a true professional. He was extremely easy to work with in the lead up to our wedding, and on the day itself, he arrived well in advance to set up and ensure everything was perfect. Grant was fantastic!!!

Grant played for both our wedding ceremony and cocktail hour and he was WONDERFUL. He was so easy to work with leading up to our wedding and everything went so smoothly. Our friends and family (and us!) loved hearing him play and I would highly recommend working with Grant for any event.

Very Talented and Easy to Work With!!

We hired Grant for a Fall Festival at our college and the event went great! Grant is very talented and has an extensive catalog of songs that he performs. He is very easy to work with, which is greatly appreciated when you have many moving parts of a program.

What to expect

Swift doesn't use backing tracks. When he needs to fill out the sound as a one-man band, some finely tuned loop pedal magic laces together threads of softly psychedelic folk-rock, hook-drenched power pop, and rollicking jangle boogie. Anchored by Swift’s deft and intentional arrangements, the songs are elevated by his fluttering, delicate, and truly striking voice. For those times where extra musicians are needed to turn it up to 11, he can rely on his network of NYC's best accompanists to fill out larger venues.

About

Swift is a New York City boy and the son of a preacher. Born in Manhattan, formed in the tri-state, and educated in the Bronx, he currently hails from Brooklyn. By deploying his eclectic training in Baroque and Classical music and drawing deftly from the palette of the R&B, Psychedelic Rock, Jazz, and Pop he played growing up, Swift crafts music that “brilliantly recreates a modern mashup sound" (Impose).

While studying at Fordham University, Swift served as the Music Director of ICCA Semi-Finalists, The Fordham Ramblers (Fordham University’s original all-male acapella group.) As he earned a full double major BA in Music Composition and Philosophy, Swift’s characteristically intricate vocal arrangements led the group to their first Quarterfinal placement.

In 2017 he and his songwriting partner had the great honor of being invited by the late, prodigious, two-time Emmy Award winning Music Director for Saturday Night Live, Katreese Barnes to perform in her home for her live stream concert series, Welcome 2 My House. Barnes wrote orchestral arrangements of Grant's songs for the concert and provided a full backing band. Barnes said, “Grant and Andy are keepers of the classic Music flame. It was a pleasure to work with them.”

For amplified performances (recommended for any performance to more than 2 audience members) a single 3 prong power outlet is required.

Some battery powered equipment is available upon request.

For outdoor performances, an overhead covering of at least 8' x 8' is needed. Alternately, you can discuss a contingency plan with Swift in advance of your event, in case of inclement weather.
