Overview

I am a musician, mostly working as a solo act, presenting your favorite songs, standards, folk favorites, oldies and current hits with the accompaniment of my guitar. My name is Paul Botzler, and I arrange the songs, and their delivery, to be easy-listening; not too loud or brash. I usually fit best as a back-drop to dinner, cocktails, wine-tastings, yard parties, etc. where ambiance is important and conversation is still possible. I can provide the necessary sound reinforcement system, if needed; and I can add personnel : percussion, bass and mandolin, as well, if more "strings" are called for. I serve the Greater Baltimore area.

About

I am a seasoned musician, and have been playing guitar since childhood. I have since added ability to play mandolin, uke, harmonica and even a little banjo. My principal service is to provide accompaniment to the songs that I sing, and to select the songs, arrange the music and perform the combination in an authentic, easy- listening cover of the material. I like to cover well known (but not over played) selections from a variety of genres over a wide time span. This may include Patsy Cline, John Prine, George Strait, Bonnie Raitt, Elvis C., Eric C, Allman Bros.,Avett Bros Bing to Sting . . .etc..I can tailor the set to the audience.
I feel best suited for small to middle venues where the "presence" of the songs in the air provide the back drop for eating, drinking and conversation.

Additional booking notes

My space requirements are small . I guess it is obvious that the spot should be level, dry, protected from rain and high winds. I an use mini lights on the music stands if needed, so no special lighting is required by me. Of course an electrical outlet or cord to same is needed for sound system ( unless sound system is provided by the venue )

Other details can be easily worked out.

Set list

I can provide a general list upon request, and as we talk about the event and audience, my play list can be edited and augmented to best suit the gig.

Setup requirements

A dry, level space for a chair, or two and a 120v power outlet or cord.
