Overview
I enjoy playing to audiences of ALL ages. Regardless,I bring an eclectic mix of popular favorites covering seven decades of pop, rock, country and blues delivered soulfully with just the right amount of funk, energy and grit. For the kiddos, I have repetoire of pumped up nursery rhymes as well as favorites made popular by movies. I can deliver a rock-a-chill performance suitable for dinner hour and transition to a more energized set with a crowd engaging show. A set list driven mostly by covers, I do like to weave in originals for the sake of a dynamic and authentic Alison performance.

Alison was very easy going and accommodating. She worked great with the kids and knew a lot of song they requested. She has a great voice and has fun with the kids. Would definitely hire again.

Alison did a company event for us and despite TERRIBLE weather, she made the absolute best of it! I highly recommend her, the kids LOVED her!

Alison took a chance on us and agreed to perform for an unknown number of people at a first-ever event. She read the crowd and the general atmosphere perfectly and picked the appropriate playlist. Even though few guests took the time to actually sit at the music stage and listen, I hear many guests remarking that they enjoyed what she was playing and her energy. She is simply wonderful.

Alison was the perfect entertainment for my daughters birthday party. She provided percussion instruments for the kids to play along with and they had a blast dancing around. Alison played a nice mix of age appropriate kids songs and also a few kid-friendly adult songs for background music while the kids were occupied elsewhere. It was a great event.

We hired Alison to perform at a family reunion/80th birthday party. Her music was infectious - just wonderful. The playlist reached all ages, from 1 to 86. She even learned songs per our request. Alison made the party a “party” and it truly wouldn’t have been as special without her. She arrived early to set up, was completely professional, and joined in with our family perfectly. She had small instruments for the kids to play along with her - which we all ended up enjoying. Alison has a wonderful presence and voice - her performance was truly awesome. I hired her after hearing her play one song at a street festival - and it was the best decision for our family event. Thank you Alison!!

She can seamlessly go from country to pop to classic rock to Disney showtunes and everything in between (she can even rap! Ha!) About
Mid-Atlantic area musician, Alison Thoms is a self-described “singer, songwriter, and strummer”. She is recognized by her dynamic, wide-ranging vocals and relaxed, gently percussive strumming style. She brings a soulful and sometimes edgy style to her performance of original works and her interpretations of rock, pop, country, and blues songs written during the last seven decades. Her rock-a-chill manner is said to capture the likeness of Janis Joplin, Bonnie Raitt and Mary Chapin Carpenter.
A longtime performer, Alison recently made her way to the recording studio where, to date, she has released 2 originals, with a third due in August of 2021. Her first single entitled "Just Getting Started" has been well received by audiences and is the A side of her first vinyl…the beloved seven-inch record, affectionately referred to by her generation as a 45. An album is scheduled for release in Spring of 2022.
Alison regularly performs across the Mid-Atlantic region from the Eastern seaboard to the WV panhandle. She plays a seasoned variety of venues that includes festivals, private functions, vineyards in addition to restaurant and bar sponsored live performances. She also travels with a regional Southern Rock inspired band providing both lead and backup vocals.
