Nelly's Echo Music

I will provide a customized set list to cater to the audience. Every audience is different, and I possess the versatility and awareness to tailor my set to the audience I'm playing for. Music is a conversation, and the best conversations require a give and take between the audience and the performer. Performing over 200 shows a year for the past 10 years has afforded me the skill of skillful melodic conversations.

What’s in a name? Everything! Nelly’s Echo is based on the premise that music is a two-way street; “It’s a give and take” says lead singer Nelson. "Nelly" refers to the musician creating the ambiance and "Echo" refers to the audience’s response to and appreciation of the ambiance.

Nelly’s Echo has shared the big stage with the artists such as Trombone Shorty, Travis McCoy, Sean Kingston, & Boyz II Men to name a few. In addition, Nelly’s Echo has had the privilege of not only delivering a TedTalk at TedX Wilmington in the summer of 2016 but also participating in Season 3 of The Voice as a member of Team Christina where she quotes: “I had so much fun listening to you right off the bat…I find you so interesting and compelling. I would love to be able to collaborate on ideas. It seems like with you the sky is the limit…I want to go to a concert; I want to see the whole show.”

Nelly's Echo has been given the gift of gab and music. Sometimes, when he plays, people stop and listen. It is his self-appointed duty to impart some form of hope, life, love, joy, & perspective through the music he plays to anyone it comes in contact with. Making good music the soundtrack to people's lives is Nelly's Echo's mission statement, and he's a man on a mission.

I'm pretty flexible with sound, staging, and lighting. I have my standard rider, but it's malleable to the context of the event.
