Languages: English, Southern-Ese

Gig length: 60 - 240 minutes

What to expect

Typically, our gigs range from 2 to 4 hours. For a 4 hour show, we will play three 1-hour sets with two 30-minute breaks. Of course, we are more than willing to be flexible with the situation and the clients' needs. We can also accommodate any requests to use a microphone for public announcements or speeches. We have a great time on-stage with each other and our audiences love the comradery.

About

Sawgrass was formed in 1998 by founding member Jody Harrison (Guitar, dobro, vocals). Our talented lineup includes Rich Viso, affectionately known as "Dr. Banjo," who has been with us for 14 years, and the brilliant Corey Merchant on bass, holding down the rhythm for the past few years. We are excited to introduce Corey Anderson, who brings his outstanding vocals to the group. Additionally, we are thrilled to welcome Grammy-nominated musician Jenni Lyn Gardner to the band. Jenni Lyn has traveled the world as a touring musician and performed with legends like Billy Strings and Sam Bush.

Sawgrass has entertained audiences throughout the Grand Strand area, from Wilmington, NC, to Charleston, SC, and everywhere in between. Our performances have included large crowds, parties, festivals, weddings, and various events, showcasing our passion for traditional bluegrass, Grateful Dead covers, and Americana music. With our own PA system, we can accommodate events of up to 100 people, and we take pride in managing our own sound to ensure an unforgettable experience for our audience.

We are deeply passionate about our music and feel privileged to share our talents with others.

Additional booking notes

If we are providing the sound (PA), we only need a single 110w outlet for power. If the event is outdoors, then we will need a covered space to play, a 10x10 tent/canopy is the smallest (this is mainly in the event it starts to rain, electronics are sensitive to that). A flat, stable surface to play on is also very important. Lighting is to be provided by the client.
