Born on the rough side of Houston,TX , Life started out on a bad foot. It got worse with a stint in foster care that almost took my voice completely. After a year of abuse in a foster home, I learned how to talk all over again. My life changed after my mother's sister took me in. Not only did she teach me how to speak ,but how to use my voice again.
My aunt and uncle didn't allow me to think of myself as anything less than great. My aunt worked with me daily to develop my speaking voice to what you hear before you now.
She taught me that my past didn't have to be apart of my destiny. This change in mindset created the man I am today.
That very same mindset took me to college where I became a DJ for the college's radio station. I graduated college with dreams of a long term career in radio, but what we want isn't always what we get. After being laid off from radio, I began working in corporate America.
The Shift
I was rear ended in traffic that totaled out my car while headed to my apartment.
Though, non life threatening, it awoke a hidden purpose I tried to keep dormant. The reason being, because I didn't believe the world would listen to my voice. It was the gift of comedy. I decided to sign up for an open mic comedy show shortly after the accident. With my first comedy experience going well, I decided to pursue it professionally. After years in comedy, I started to seek purpose to my punchline through motivational speaking. Punchlines with a purpose is what I provide companies and organizations across the world.
My corporate experience mixed with my infotainment style of speaking allows me to move audiences to action. Inspiration with direction is what I specialize in.
Past challenges and current triumphs allow me to teach and live by the slogan " It's never too late to make an impact"
