About

Road Trip, a six-piece rock and roll band based in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, may well
be the hardest working band in the state. Since their formation in 1991 they
have played throughout the Midwest, including Wisconsin, Illinois, Iowa,
Minnesota, and Michigan. Road Trip has been nominated many times for best
cover band in Wisconsin and recently won the WAMI award in 2013.
In addition to playing clubs, Road Trip has played many major festivals and opened
for several national acts such as: Sheryl Crow, Collective Soul, Night Ranger,
ZZ Top, REO Speedwagon, Ted Nugent and many more.

Road Trip consists of founding members Richie Plath and D.J. Doty on lead vocals
and rhythm guitar, respectively. Amy Jo Doty, voted Best Female Vocalist in
Wisconsin in 2010, is the female lead singer and also plays percussion and keyboard. Guitar duties are rounded out by lead guitarist Jason Busse, who has been nominated Best Guitar Player in Wisconsin multiple times. The band’s rhythm section is made up of the father/son team Bob and Andy Welsch. Their family connection creates a rock solid groove for people to dance to all night long.

The band has recently added a state of the art video screen system to their live
shows. The 10 big screen TVs allow the band to show synchronized video content and live camera feeds behind them while they are playing live. This new dimension of their show ensures each performance is a treat for eyes as well as the ears.

Years of hard work have made Road Trip one of the top drawing live bands in the
state and their continual commitment to improvement is sure to make them a great addition to your festival, wedding, private party or venue.
