Guitarist Randy Sloan began his musical journey on the West Coast, performing in rock and Top 40 bands while refining his technique and developing his distinctive sound. Drawn to the smooth jazz genre, Randy found inspiration in the works of Jeff Golub, Chris Standring, Norman Brown, and other jazz greats.
After relocating to the Dallas, Texas area, Randy quickly made his mark on the local music scene and performs 15 to 20 shows a month at luxury hotels, wineries, cocktail lounges, and private events. His polished tone and melodic sensibility earned him a reputation as a standout performer in the region’s music circuit.
In June 2024, Randy released his debut smooth jazz single, “It’s A Vibe,” a captivating collaboration featuring soulful saxophonist Ner De Leon. The track received praise from fans and critics alike, gaining traction on online radio and streaming platforms. Building on that momentum, Randy followed up with the sultry ballad “Nightlights,” featuring the expressive piano stylings of Torrey Brown. Together, the two singles have garnered close to 80,000 streams on Spotify and have been featured on multiple online smooth jazz stations.
Sloan's latest release, "Arrival" was co-written and produced by Caleb Middleton (Adam Hawley, Julian Vaughn, Richard Elliot, Blake Aaron) and features saxophonist Ner de Leon (Blake Aaron, Warren Hill, Marc Antoine). The track showcases Sloan’s most refined sound to date. Building on the momentum of his #1 Spain Smooth Jazz Top 100 hit "Flow Motion," Arrival delivers a high-energy, feel-good ride from start to finish.
