About

What might be one of the best comeback stories ever known, Kersten survived bacterial meningitis, rebuilt himself from nothing and become a 2x All-American, placing 3rd in the Nation at 197 pounds two years later. He survived a disease that gave him less than a 10% chance of survival while effected every organ in his body. The disease ate away his flesh, causing a risk of limb amputation. He lost 65 pounds of muscle, lost the feeling in his hands and feet, lost the ability to walk, was put on blood thinners to prevent abnormal clots. Kersten went on to prove that impossible is nothing!
