What to Expect
I dance jingle dress and fancy shawl. Both come with different ways of dancing. The jingle dress consists of the side step and the straight song. The fancy shawl dance consists of many types of songs such as the crow hop, foot slide, straight song and sneak up. Each song is between 3 to 4 minutes in length. I also speak on the stories behind the outfits and the stories of each dance and style so the audience has background on what each dance represents and where it came from. I work well with others and I am able to perform with other dancers and artists if needed.
I am a member of the Navajo tribe. I originate from Chinle, Arizona. I have also lived in Mew Mexico and Virginia. I am currently living in Colorado. I have done many performances and participated in many powwows all over the United States. I have also done several performances at the Smithsonian Museum of the Native America in Washington, DC. I am dedicated to dancing, it has been a passion of mine since I started when I was 6 years old.
