Hiring a jazz dancer is a great choice of entertainment for a variety of events from dinner parties, stage shows and corporate events to fairs, festivals, wedding receptions and other special occasions. Whether you need jazz dancers to perform exciting split leaps, toe rises, and illusion kicks or authentic jazz moves such as the shim sham, crazy legs, lock-turn and bees' knees, GigSalad will connect you with jazz dancers in your area to help create a successful event.
There are a few things to consider when you hire a jazz dancer. First, know what kind of jazz dancer and performance you are looking for. Do you want common jazz moves like the rush-ins and stag leaps or authentic jazz moves such as the fish tail, rubber legs, and apple jack? Also, set a budget that goes with the ideas you have for the event. Meaning, if your vision is a group of jazz dancers, that is going to require a larger budget than if you just want a solo dancer or even a pair of dancers. As you begin talking with dancers, be sure to inquire about specifics. Will the jazz dancers need a special type of floor to dance on? How much area is needed? Last, check out photo galleries and watch videos of past performances. You should also read reviews and get references from former clients. These things will help ensure you book the best for your special event.
