If you want dancers, we can bring any number from one couple to our full team of 10 dancers. If you need Live music we can suggest the Big Bands and Hot Jazz outfits that work with us on a regular basis. If you need a Deejay, we've got you covered.

Our group also provides Live Sound for our shows. Our sound systems are state of the art like the JBL EON systems rated for up to 2,000 attendees. We’re located in NYC and Westchester County (New York)

Our Top DeeJay Teams are also dancers, so that gives you double the bang for the buck as they can demonstrate line dances and partner dances.

The Rhythm Stompers have been featured at Jazz At Lincoln Center’s Rose Hall, Hudson River Park’s Moondance, Lincoln Center’s Midsummer Night Swing, The Paramount, John Jay College, Swing Remix, Salute To Seniors at The Westchester County Center, and a multitude of special events. BB Kings featured this team for a multitude of functions featuring American born music styles. And our members have performed around the world from The Umbria Jazz Festival in Italy, to The Hep Cat Holiday, England.

Paolo Pasta Lanna
Choreographer | Dancer | Producer | Designer
Paolo is a 20 year veteran of Swing Dance specializing in the Lindy Hop, Balboa, Collegiate Shag, and Charleston. Back in 1999 Paolo and his original partner Janice Wilson were the first Lindy Hoppers to Tour with with Wynton Marsalis & The Lincoln Center Jazz Orchestra (Now JALCO) and in 1998 they won the American Swing Dance Championships. They performed with shows “Swing Dance America” and “Forever Swing” featuring Michael Buble. Over the years, Paolo has founded and launched events such at The Summer Jamboree Dance Camp in Italy, The Shake, Rhythm & Roll Festival in Asbury Park, and the Swing Remix dance spectacular in NYC. He coordinates dance teams The Lindy Hop All-Stars and Rhythm Stompers, and continues to hone his skills of the American born social dances, teaching and performing throughout the world. He was a guest artist/teacher at Lincoln Center’s Midsummer Night Swing consecutively from 1999 – 2015 and in 2016 he performed 7 nights Live on the main stage at the Umbria Jazz festival in Perugia. He capped off the year with a 4 night show for Jazz At Lincoln Center performing with and co-directing The Rhythm Stompers.

The Rhythm Stompers & The Lindy Hop All Stars (LHAS) are delighted to be performing for you! In order to ensure the integrity of our performance and the safety of our dancers, please be advised that we request the following:

Dance surface
Client ideally should provide a dance floor. For our *optimal show we recommend a hard wood dance floor. If the dance surface is not wood or marley, we must be informed and approve of the dance surface before accepting gig.
The dance surface should be no smaller than the minimum dimensions specified by us, which will depend on the number of dancers in the performance and type of dances demonstrated.
Recommended minimum floor dimensions:
2 couples: 12’ X 18’
3 couples: 14’ X 24’
4 couples: 16’ X 30’
*Optimal – Due to the nature our dances, flooring is of great importance for us to showcase our footwork at it’s best. Some of our routines also include acrobatic lifts, tosses and other fancy tricks many of which require the optimal flooring situation.

Dressing/changing area
Client should provide a dressing/changing area for dancers. The dressing area should include table, chairs, mirrors, functioning electrical outlets, lighting, hanging rack for costumes, private bathroom and/or sink/washing area. If any of these items are not available, we must be informed in advance of the situation.
We request that the changing area be near the dance floor for ease and efficiency of costume changes. However, if this is not possible, please inform us of distance between dressing area and the “stage”, and configuration of performance area (e.g., whether there will be a backstage area, etc.).
Water/Food
Client must provide drinking water for dancers for any length event whether a 15 min show or 1.5 hr show.
Suggested Guidlines: 2 liters per dancer, in dressing area, before or upon arrival of dancers.
If our performance terms require our presence at your event for a period beyond 3 hrs, we will likely need to have food available to us especially if we are travelling from out of town. If you will be providing eats, we suggest healthy nutritious foods like whole fruits and vegetables, nuts and legumes and whole grains as they are always appreciated by our health conscious dancers.

Sound and Floor Check
We request a window of time ending no less than 1 hour before performance is scheduled to start in order to run through the performance on the dance floor. We need this time to do sound check and to assess the quality of the dance floor in order to make any necessary last-minute adjustments

Videotaping
If you are interested in having our performance videotaped, that should be discussed prior to the event. We generally are happy to have our show videotaped provided we are provided with a copy of the raw footage and/or final edited results. Please keep in mind that any broadcasting or distribution of our performance must be approved by us. We reserve all rights to our performance and still images.
