Performing for 10 years in over 2,000 venues, the "1920s tapping sensation," Gin Minsky, is one of the country's most prominent tap dancing burlesque performers, specializing in high energy dances with opulent vintage-inspired costuming. Often said to be "fresh out the history books," she captivates audiences world-wide at festivals, private parties, corporate events, clubs, and off-Broadway productions.
In addition to specializing in tap, Gin is also a trained dancer with a wide knowledge of vintage dances, which she can teach at your event.
Add a bit of authentic vintage gold to your Gatsby party or a bit of high-energy charm to any of your events!
Your showgirls were phenomenal. They were incredibly professional, punctual, and had a wonderful, friendly manner with the residents. They did not so much as flinch when posing with anyone, including those who were, shall we say… malodorous. We are so grateful to you for providing this service for our Veterans on campus. Thank you!
Response from Gin Minsky:
Thank you, Karl! It was such a pleasure working with you!
Gin was beautiful, talented and awesome!!! I'd love to have her at one of my future events because she made my night so excellent and wonderful. She is so talented and we are so lucky to have found her for our event!!!!
Response from Gin Minsky:
Thank you so much for inviting me into such a beautiful night! It was such a pleasure to meet you! Hope to see you again! xo

What to Expect
Gin is available for a wide array of services to meet the needs of your event.
She can perform a number of her pre-existing choreographed numbers as either a straight tap dance or as a burlesque striptease. All choreographed numbers last between 3-8 minutes each. These numbers can be performed to a recorded track or to a live band.
Have a specific idea in mind that is not a part of Gin's existing repertoire? Dances can be created or altered to fit the needs of your event!
If you wish to have a longer, fuller show, Gin can create a full-length program for your event utilizing herself and other performers. Talent available includes acrobats, jugglers, clowns, sideshow performers, musicians, singers, a wide range of dance talent, and more!
Gin can also offer your guests a Charleston lesson so they have the dance moves to use throughout the event.

For almost a decade, Gin Minsky has been known as NYC’s premiere tap and burlesque performer, event producer (Jazz Age Lawn Party on Governors Island, Champagne Riot, Webster Hall’s East Ville des Folies,) and go-to gal for all things Jazz Age. Classically trained in jazz, ballet, pointe, tap and modern, her performances include a varied spectrum of performative dance acts and are suitable for a wide range of venues from cabaret clubs to upscale concert halls.
Gin Minsky first hit the stage with taps on her feet at the tender age of five and has continued to dazzle and delight audiences across America. Accomplished as a solo performer, Gin can also be found partnering with dance legend Roddy Caravella, the Champagne Riot's Dandy Wellington, and as one half of the Minsky Sisters with Kristen Minsky.
Tapped into all things jazz, Gin has produced numerous Jazz Age inspired events. Working on all aspects of event production, Gin can make sure your next event is buttoned up with tails out from pre-production to performance!

Influences & Inspiration
I am highly influenced by the dancers of Old Hollywood like Cyd Charisse, Fred Astaire, Eleanor Powell, Ann Miller and the Nicholas Brothers, and by the raucous spirit of the flappers of the Roaring 20s.
A private and secure room to change and leave belongings (small spaces like an office are suitable).
A wooden stage or floor for dancing (I have a portable tap floor that I can bring for an additional fee if a wood surface is not available)
A sound system - I can bring my music on cd or iPod or email it to the DJ
