What to expect
When you hire The Satin Dollz, you can expect a polished, professional and highly interactive vintage entertainment experience tailored to your event.
Our performances combine close-harmony vocals, choreography, tap dance and plenty of personality. The Dollz interact with the audience throughout the show and know how to read a crowd, whether we’re performing for an intimate private party, corporate event, veterans celebration, festival or large theater audience. Our goal is to keep your guests engaged and make sure everyone has a great time.
The Satin Dollz can perform with our professional tracks or with a live band, and we can provide our own professional sound production when needed. We have live bands available in Los Angeles, Nashville and New York, giving us three home bases and making travel logistics easier and more cost-effective for events across the country.
Our live band configurations are scalable depending on the size and needs of your event, from a five-piece band to nine-piece and up to a full 16-piece orchestra.
We can also build out your entertainment package with additional performers. Swing dancers can be added to complement our 1920s, 1940s or 1950s shows, and a male MC/crooner can be incorporated for an additional vocal element and to help host the event.
For clients working with a smaller entertainment budget, we also offer our sister act, The Royals, featuring one vocalist backed by a three- to five-piece live band. This provides a smaller-footprint option while still delivering live vintage music and a polished performance.
For longer shows or multiple sets, The Satin Dollz typically incorporate costume changes, giving each portion of the performance a fresh look. We can also provide Vintage DJs to play before the show, between sets or during band breaks, making it possible to provide continuous music throughout your event.
Every Satin Dollz performance includes a meet and greet afterward. The Dollz are happy to take photos, speak with audience members and interact with guests after the show at no additional charge. We also send along either a manager or designate a "Doll in Charge" to make sure there is clear communication day of the event.
If your event requires greeters or hostesses, our sister company, The Candy Dollz, can also be added to your package. The Candy Dollz provide themed hostess and atmosphere services and can be coordinated with the era and overall look of your event.
With multiple musical eras, performance formats and entertainment options available, we can build a package around your venue, audience, schedule and budget. From a Satin Dollz trio performing with tracks to a complete production featuring The Dollz, swing dancers, male crooner, Vintage DJ and full orchestra, we can scale the entertainment to fit your event.
About
The Satin Dollz began in Hollywood, California in 2005 with a love of vintage music, classic Hollywood glamour and the unforgettable spirit of the WWII-era USO Camp Shows. What started as a passion project bringing together talented singers and tap dancers has grown into an international vintage entertainment company with more than 100 performers across the United States and Europe.
From the beginning, The Satin Dollz were designed to be more than a vocal group. The vision was to create an entire entertainment experience: beautiful close-harmony vocals, show-stopping tap dance, glamorous costuming, personality, audience interaction and the feeling that, for a little while, you have stepped into another era.
While the group’s roots are firmly planted in the music and style of the 1940s, The Satin Dollz have evolved over the years to celebrate some of the most glamorous and entertaining chapters of the vintage eras. Today, their repertoire travels from the glitz of the Roaring 1920s and Gatsby era through 1940s Big Band Swing and WWII USO entertainment, into the colorful Americana, doo-wop, rockabilly and early rock ‘n’ roll sounds of the 1950s. Specialty productions include Vintage Western, tropical and Latin-inspired entertainment, holiday swing and other themed shows created for particular events and audiences.
The Satin Dollz are especially known for taking familiar songs and presenting them in unexpected ways. Signature arrangements, musical mashups, choreography and tap dance give classic material a fresh personality while preserving everything audiences love about the eras that inspired it. The goal has never been simply to reproduce the past. It is to find the most glamorous, joyful and entertaining pieces of it and bring them to life for today’s audiences.
That versatility has taken The Satin Dollz to theaters, festivals, historic venues, military and veterans events, corporate celebrations, private parties, museums, supper clubs and special events around the world.
After more than a decade of performing throughout Southern California and beyond, The Satin Dollz began expanding internationally. What followed transformed the original Hollywood group into an international family of performers, with divisions now based in Los Angeles, New York, Nashville, London, Paris and Rome.
The international Dollz have toured extensively throughout the United Kingdom and Europe, including a 22-theater UK tour with The Jive Aces that opened at London’s historic Aldwych Theatre in the West End. They have appeared at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, the Royal Chelsea Flower Show and numerous vintage and swing festivals throughout Europe. The Dollz have also performed as part of the international Party Like Gatsby tour, which traveled through countries across Europe and North America.
In France, The Satin Dollz have had the extraordinary opportunity to perform in Normandy as part of commemorations honoring D-Day, bringing the music of the 1940s to the very beaches and communities where history took place. Military and veterans performances remain some of the most meaningful work the group does.
Back home in the United States, The Satin Dollz have built a long history of performances from coast to coast. Their residencies have included Hollywood’s famed Cicada Club with Dean Mora’s Swing Orchestra, the historic Queen Mary in Long Beach and a four-year residency on the Hollywood Walk of Fame at Room Number 13 inside the Escape Hotel.
In New York, The Satin Dollz established a longtime presence in the heart of Times Square and have become regular performers during New York Fleet Week aboard the Intrepid Museum. The group also performs for Los Angeles Fleet Week and has developed a special connection with military audiences, active-duty service members and veterans on both coasts.
One of the group’s proudest traditions is its 1940s USO-style entertainment. Performing the music associated with America’s WWII generation has created countless unforgettable moments over the years. The Dollz’ Armed Forces Medley has become particularly meaningful, with veterans and active-duty service members invited to stand and be recognized as the song of their branch is performed.
In 2026, The Satin Dollz had the tremendous honor of performing at the National Medal of Honor Museum’s Centennial Birthday Bash, celebrating six World War II veterans turning 100 years old. Experiences like these are a reminder that vintage entertainment can be much more than nostalgia. Music has the remarkable ability to unlock memories, connect generations and bring people together.
The Satin Dollz have also appeared on television and in media internationally, including the BBC, and in 2020 released their debut album, Pin Up Revolution, featuring the group’s signature vintage sound.
In 2025, The Satin Dollz celebrated their 20th anniversary by bringing together performers from around the world for a special celebration in Los Angeles. More than two decades after the first Dollz stepped onto a Hollywood stage, the original idea continues to grow.
Today, The Satin Dollz include more than 100 talented women across four countries, each bringing her own personality, talent and background to the group while sharing a love of vintage music and performance. Depending on the event, The Satin Dollz can appear as an intimate vocal trio, a larger vocal ensemble, singers and tap dancers, roaming or atmospheric entertainers, or a complete stage production backed by a live jazz, swing or rockabilly band.
Shows can be tailored to fit everything from an elegant cocktail reception or intimate private celebration to a theater, festival, corporate event or large-scale concert. The Dollz can provide featured performances, multiple sets throughout an evening, meet-and-greet entertainment and customized musical experiences designed around a client’s theme, venue and audience.
What has remained constant since 2005 is the heart of The Satin Dollz: exceptional performers, beautiful music, glamorous presentation and a genuine connection with the audience. Whether we’re singing for a packed theater, dancing beneath the lights of Times Square, entertaining thousands at a festival, performing for veterans who remember these songs firsthand or helping guests celebrate one of the biggest nights of their lives, we want every Satin Dollz performance to feel like an occasion.
More than twenty years after it all began in Hollywood, we’re still finding new songs to sing, new places to perform and new audiences to meet. And we wouldn’t have it any other way.

Set list
Our set lists vary depending on the event, theme, audience and length of performance. With a repertoire of more than 200 songs spanning the 1920s through the early 1960s, we have plenty of flexibility to create a show that fits each occasion.
The majority of our performances feature our signature close-harmony vocal trio, but longer shows allow us to mix things up and showcase each of The Dollz individually with featured solos. Depending on the performance package, we also incorporate choreographed dance and tap numbers, featured dancer performances and instrumental band features.
Audiences can expect a well-paced show with plenty of variety, moving between close-harmony vocals, solo features, vocals with dancers, dance numbers, audience interaction and band step-outs. We also love incorporating our signature surprise mashups and unexpected arrangements along the way.
No two Satin Dollz shows have to be exactly alike. With such an extensive repertoire, we can tailor the music and pacing to the era, theme and audience while creating a show that feels cohesive, entertaining and full of variety from beginning to end.
Influences and inspiration
The Satin Dollz are influenced by the rich vocal harmonies and iconic sounds of the 1920s through 1950s. We love the great harmony groups like The Andrews Sisters and The McGuire Sisters, the energy of Big Band, Swing and Jazz, and especially the divas: Ella Fitzgerald, Etta James, Rosemary Clooney and the unforgettable women whose voices defined their eras. We love the lush harmonies of the 1950s, doo-wop, early rock ’n’ roll and soul, along with contemporary artists like Caro Emerald and Amy Winehouse who have brought vintage influences into a more modern sound.
We are not a tribute act and don’t try to recreate any one artist. Instead, we take inspiration from all of it and create our own Satin Dollz sound, built around rich, warm harmonies, personality and unexpected musical choices. Our signature surprise mashups are a big part of that, combining songs and styles audiences might never expect to hear together and giving familiar music a completely new twist.
