A good time was had by all

Professional and responsive, nice gear and an all around nice dude. Comes with a repertoire of covers and originals to keep your audience hooked. We hosted an outdoor event on the lawn of our winery, and Matt's acoustic set fit our venue and audience well.

What to expect

When booking Matt Gillis you can expect up to three hours of original and cover music. Although mostly acoustic guitar, Matt also plays electric guitar. He uses multiple effect pedal, including looper pedals, to create a more textured sound. Matt is also available to share the bill with other musicians, if needed. Additionally, Matt is willing and able to take requests to curate a more personalized musical experience.

Because he is a solo musician, his stage profile is very minimal. All the venue needs to provide is an electrical cord. For mid-sized audiences (up to 50 people or so) all equipment is provided by Matt. For very large spaces, a house PA system will be required.

Through the use of various guitar effects and looper pedals, Matt is able to create musical textures that provide a fuller and more engaging musical experience and allow for solo improvisation. From small private events to larger audiences, Matt specializes in bringing a super-chill and fun vibe to audiences with a slightly more advanced musical pallet.
