What to expect
One of the most important things to me is arriving as early as I can so everyone can be set up and ready to go far before the music is supposed to start. This is a wonderful way to start the gig because everyone feels relaxed going into the gig because you just never know whats going to happen on the way. I'm an out going individual, I always lead a night of music with kindness, and professionalism.
If you hire me for a set you'll get an artist who will play for the right amount of time, is always ready to go with the flow of the crowd, and will play almost anything but specializes in Americana, older Country 70s-90s, and Folk music. I am someone who can provide all their own gear and get in and out of there in a reasonable time period.
About
Mason Marcus Turner is a Country & Folk artist hailing from and based in Washington State. He combines the sounds of traditional American folk music, the southern songwriters of the 70s, his own writing and he transforms it into something that is authentically Northwestern and captures listeners everywhere.
His show consists of Country & Folk classics spanning from artists like John Prine and Merle Haggard to The Sturgill Simpson & Gram Parsons. Turner's original music can only be described as authentically true to tradition and pushing the boundaries of what Folk and Americana music can represent.
Additional booking notes
Depending on the gig the gear requirements are different. As a solo performer with guitar and vocals I am able to provide my own gear including cables, PA, microphone, and guitar. I do charge an extra $100 for bringing my own PA just with all the hassle that comes along with it but I'm happy to do it.
I also have a four piece honky tonk band. We will bring all our own gear such as amps, cables, and all that and with this set up I also charge an extra $100 for bringing my own PA system but again am happy to do it. We have no lighting requirements all we ask is that you have an outlet that we can plug into. We also ask that there is a tent available in case of bad weather and so our gear doesn't get wet.
