I come from a large, complicated, loving, Christian family. My childhood was filled with love, happiness, and fun; however it was also littered with divorce, re-marriage, heartache, struggle, and mental illness. As an adult I've overcome adversity to become a successful mental health and chemical dependency counselor. I began working in the social service field in 2004 and never looked back. I've seen people at their worst and watched them blossom. With my personal and professional background I am qualified and well versed in many topics to meet your event needs as a public speaker.
Speaking Topics: mental illness, mental health stigma, addiction, family and relationship topics, bullying, domestic violence, abuse, adoption topics, PTSD, anxiety, depression, anger management, overcoming adversity, share my mental health story, share my Christian testimony, or you can suggest a topic for me to speak on.
I speak in all arenas, large or small; such as conferences, conventions, community events, corporate events, school assemblies, etc.
My event fee is dependent on event size and travel/lodging costs.
Dependent on the event and topic I may need a projector for powerpoint presentations, microphone/headset, and/or stage space for extra people as volunteers may be asked to participate for some topic presentations.
