September 27, 2024We had Brant (on piano) and Tim (upright bass) out for our grand opening event. They exceeded our expectations in every way. Their music was 100% on point. It wasn't overwhelming or too loud. It was simply perfect for setting a professional and relaxing mood at our event! We would definitely recommend and have them out again!

I have a wide network of fantastic jazz musicians that I work with. I can offer an intimate jazz duo setting, perfect for a wedding cocktail hour or relaxing weekend brunch, or a larger ensemble with rhythm section and a horn or two if desired. I most often perform with a piano trio (piano, upright bass and drums.) I love to sing standards, and can sing up to 4 unique 50 minute sets.
Lea Grant delivers captivating musical entertainment, ideal for public venues and private events, in configurations ranging from a duo to a quintet. With a delightfully pure voice and a touch of humor, she effortlessly engages her audience.
Whether performing original compositions or timeless classics from the Great American Songbook, Lea Grant captivates listeners with her unique style. Influenced by jazz icons like Shirley Horn, Carmen McRae, and Betty Carter, Grant brings her own distinct charm, humor, and sweet vocals to every performance.
Originally from the west coast, Lea Grant has extensive experience performing throughout the San Francisco Bay Area. She has showcased her talents in diverse settings, from prestigious jazz venues like Yoshi's Lounge to upscale wine bars and cafes to private corporate events.
Grant's performances exude sophistication, blending a spirited, youthful energy with an intimate authenticity that charms jazz fans and skeptics alike. Her musical journey includes earning a Master’s of Music in Jazz Studies from the prestigious University of North Texas, where she also served as a jazz voice teaching fellow. She had the privilege of honing her craft under the guidance of esteemed mentors such as Rosana Eckert and Jennifer Barnes and has studied privately with grammy award winning vocalists Kate McGarry and Sara Gazarek.
In addition to her work as a jazz vocalist and a singer/songwriter, she has recorded background vocals for various indie artists, including Derek Sup, Anita Stryker and Andy Mason. Over the years, she has also lent her voice to a few commercial and t.v. spots with companies such as Disney, Pepsi and Barbie.
We typically bring our own sound equipment; we will need at least one accessible outlet nearby, but two would be better.
The quartet needs (stage area at least 140sq. ft.)
We need at least one outlet that can be reached by an extension cord.
We will bring: keyboard/guitar amp, bass amp, vocal mic, PA, cables. All instruments.
For any ensemble larger than a quintet, the venue must have a sound system and professional sound person.
